Berdasarkan klaim pihak Acer bahwa perangkat ini bukanlah Notebook, tetapi sebagai “Internet Device”. Namun jika menilik dari bentuk fisik dan vasilitas yang tersedia jelas ini adalah sebuah Mini Notebook.

Beratnya yang tidak sampai 1Kg, Acer Aspire One masih lebih ringan dibandingkan dengan Asus EEE PC901, hal ini disebakan karena batterainya yang sangat ringan berkapasitas 2200mAh. Desainnya cukup menarik, beraroma kontemporer. Tersedia aneka pilihan warna: putih, biru, cokelat, pink dan hitam.

Chasisnya cukup lebar untuk ukuran mini notebook yang sejenis, hal ini membuat keyboard terasa lebih lapang dalam mengetik. Ada sedikit perbedaan pada keyboard umumnya, dimana posisi tombol untuk klik kanan-kiri terletak disisi kanan-kirinya, bukan dibawah trackpad seperti keyboard notebook umumnya.

Produk ini tersedia model Linux dan Windows XP. Dimana versi Linux menggunakan prosesor Intel Atom N270 1,6Ghz, memory 512Mb dan harddisk flash NAND 8Gb. Jelas harganya lebih murah dibandingkan versi Windows XP Home yang juga di persenjatai prosesor Atom 1,6Ghz, Memory 1Gb dan harddisk 160Gb.

Dengan tidak adanya bluetooth, menjadikan koneksi tanpa kabel Acer Aspire One ini terasa agak kurang, meskipun disediakan WiFi 802.11b/g untuk anda yang senang browsing di internet.

  2. Great little computer. I have a Mac and I didn’t want to carry it around the house and possible damage it. So this little number is great. Small fits in any bag and great for travel. Great buy for the price. And I love the color.

  3. Acer Aspire One AOA150-1178 8.9-Inch
    This mini- laptop is great for pre-teens before they ask for a bigger more powerful one. It has all the needed features of a laptop. The only set back I would say it has is ths small keyboard, for those who are used to bigger lap tops or desk tops it is a little uncomfortable until you get used to it.

    It is a really nice product for the road, specially when you are on vacations and need to check for info on the web, ligthweigh but powerfull enough to do the job.

    I love this netbook. Its small enough that i can take it anywhere but not so

    small that i cant see the screen. I adapted very well to the keys that are

    smaller and closer together.. and dont have any problems with it. Everything

    loads up quickly and the colors are great. The battery does die out rather

    quickly but that is why it is good to bring the charger with you when you go

    places.. the webcam works nicely too. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is

    under a budget and needs a laptop.
